b) A deuterium nucleus may be converted to a hydrogen nucleus by bombarding it with ? radiation, a process called "photodisintegration". Calculate the minimum energy for such conversion.

A relatively stationery U235 nucleus is bombarded by a 1 MeV neutron, causing it to fission. Two neutrons are ejected and Xe¹4° appears as one of two fission fragments. Write the reaction and compute the energy released.
